Animation Workshops
As part of the process of screening the film, I've been offering stop motion animation workshops in the communities I visit. I started creating stop motion animation out of the pure luck of taking a workshop myself. I feel its my duty to continue to spread the joy of working with this process. I also find that sharing "the making" process allows me to include audience members in a different way. My workshops generally consist of a mix of animation screenings, technique demos, making of props and other animation objects, and of course animating! Here are a few examples made by attendees from the animation workshop at fort Gondo.
Monte, Angel, and Sam's animation made from national geographic and scrapbook ephemera at Fort Gondo.
Mate's animation made from a character he drew and National Geographic backgrounds.
