On February 22nd, 2014 I shared props, drawings, and clips from the animation at Fort Gondo on Cherokee Street. This was a place for me to celebrate the artwork I'd been generating to make the film and also to provide my community with some glimpses into the film. Since the film is narrative and linear, I was excited to present the artworks in a way that the viewer would have to piece together a sense of story or narrative. Additionally, I appreciated having the space to create a giant collage wall of art props, characters, and backgrounds. Since so much of the animation has a collage aesthetic- things are always moving, shifting, being recreated, it seemed like the appropriate form. All in all it was a great night and I had a chance to meet new people and connect with old friends. Thanks to everyone that came out!
